The Mountain
Arai Resort is located in Niigata and reopened in December 2017 after a 10 years of closure, which is many of the core powder hunters had been waiting for. The best feature is the massive off piste area called "Free Riding Zone" where you can ski and board in the ungroomed deep powder. There are 14 courses to chose from cattering to beginner: 25 %, intermadiate: 40 %, advanced: 35 %.

The location
Arai resort is located in Niigata about 2 hours by Hokuriku Shinkansen from Tokyo to Joetsu Myoko. Then the resort runs free shuttle to the hotel which would take about 20 minutes. We can advise and book all transfers for you.
